Confiscated Sparrow Hawks

October 15, 2018

Three Sparrow Hawk chicks were confiscated by the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature (RSCN) from the illegal trade and brought to the New Hope Centre (NHC). Although these birds usually migrate through Jordan, it is suspected that this is the first case in Jordan where Sparrow Hawks were bred in Jordan to be sold. The chicks were raised at the NHC and then released in cooperation with the RSCN.
