In cooperation with the Customs Department and the RSCN, Al Ma’wa received 130 Python Snakes which were destined for the Gulf through the illegal trade. The snakes were immediately assesed for any immediate medical needs and were then settled into their individual houses for further observation and care. The illegal trade of snakes as well as many other species has been seen to be on the rise of late which is of great concern.
