Scar

Our newest addition to Al Ma’wa for Nature and Wildlife is Scar, a striped hyena!

He was confiscated from a local Jordanian zoo in 2010 and it is estimated that he is now over 17 years old. Unfortunately, Scar could not be released into the wild after being rescued as he has limited vision and dental issues. He is becoming more comfortable in his new home and likes to spend his days either in the shade of the trees or in his den!
